Challenge

Challenge

Everyone in the Netherlands knows Ter Apel, but not for the right reasons. Most of us associate this place with negative news headlines and crisis. What nobody sees are the beautiful things that happen there: children who play sports together and feel at home for the first time in a very long time.

That’s why KLABU asked us to create a jersey concept to draw attention to their clubhouse in Ter Apel.

Concept

KLABU Ter Apel doesn’t just need a home jersey, they need a Feel at Home Jersey (Voel je Thuisshirt). A sports jersey in which all children can feel at home. One with many colors and shapes, so every child recognizes something.

What makes this UNSETTLE?

What makes this UNSETTLE?

This jersey asks for a huge audience. An even bigger one than a single headline ever did. One that’s at the centre of sport and supported by children: the line-up. There where children enter the playing field, the Voel je Thuisshirt was launched. During the FC Emmen - ADO Den Haag match, not only one team but the line-ups of both teams wore the jersey, something that has never happened before.

Execution

Execution

Every part of this campaign was made with and for children. The design of the shirt was created by Alf, an 11-year-old artist. The photos were shot with children connected to KLABU, and the launch was fully supported by children. With their energy in mind, we animated all the assets. From the colors to the badge, everything feels energetic.
